Adding Products

1.Basic Information

Product Name

Enter the product name in the language shown in the field.
It is recommended to include size, weight, or number of units, for example:

Arabic Coffee – 250 g
Full Fat Milk – 500 ml × 12 packs
Cream Cheese – 200 g
Apple Juice – 330 ml
Rice Pack – 10 kg

Brand

Select the appropriate brand from the list of previously added brands, or click “Add Brand” if the brand is not yet registered.

Images

You need to upload at least 2 product images. Use high-quality images that clearly show the product and its key features, with a clean and appropriate background.

Category (Classifications)

Organizing products into categories and subcategories helps buyers find and filter products easily on the platform.

Main Category: The primary group the product belongs to (e.g., Food & Beverages, Consumer Products, Hot Beverages).
Subcategory 1 & 2: More specific levels (e.g., Food & Beverages > Coffee & Tea > Arabic Coffee).
Example: Food & Beverages / Coffee & Tea / Arabic Coffee.

2. Packaging

Size

Refers to the product’s weight, volume, or quantity.
Examples:

Arabic Coffee – 250 g
Apple Juice – 330 ml

Select the appropriate Size Unit (g, kg, ml, L, etc.).

Number of Units in a Carton

Enter how many sale units are inside one carton or outer package.

If one carton contains 6 unit, enter 6.
If it contains more, enter the exact number.

Transportation Mode

Specify the required shipping condition:

Normal shipping
Refrigerated shipping
Other special conditions (if applicable)

Select the appropriate option from the list.

3. Product Dimensions & Weight

Weight

Enter the net weight of the product in the selected unit. This helps calculate logistics and shipping costs.
Select the appropriate Weight Unit (e.g., g, kg).

Length / Width / Height

Enter the three dimensions of the product unit.

Dimension Unit

Select the unit used for length, width, and height (cm, mm, inches, etc.).

4. Pricing

Unit of Sale Measurement

Select the unit in which the product is sold on the platform (e.g., carton, piece, box, pallet).

Price List (excluding tax)

For each unit of sale, enter:

Unit Price (before discount): The base price before any discount.
Sale Price (after discount): The actual selling price shown to customers (optional).
Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ): The minimum quantity the buyer can order for this price and unit.

You can add multiple price tiers (e.g., volume-based discounts) using the “Add Price” button.

5. Description and Keywords

Enter a clear product description, main features, and relevant keywords in the language shown in the field to improve product visibility and search results.

6. Product Identifiers

Barcode Type

Select the barcode standard used by your organization (e.g., EAN, UPC, GTIN).
If the product does not have a barcode, choose “Product does not have a barcode”.

Barcode

Enter the barcode number corresponding to the type selected above.

SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)

Enter your internal product code used for inventory and accounting. Each SKU should be unique.

Export Availability and HS Code

Indicate whether this product can be exported outside Saudi Arabia:

Export is allowed and enter the HS Code (Harmonized System Customs Code) according to the product classification.

7. Inventory and Production

Available Quantity

Enter the quantity currently available in your warehouse to control product availability status on the platform.

Use this improved wording in Silk United’s product form:

Continue selling when out of stock / Dedicated production line

Enable this option if the product may temporarily show “out of stock” in the warehouse, but you can still fulfil new orders on time through a dedicated production line or a confirmed manufacturing schedule. When activated, you can keep selling and managing quantities based on your daily or periodic production capacity instead of current warehouse stock.

8. Carton Dimensions & Weight

Carton Weight

Enter the total weight of the carton including all contents.
Select the appropriate Weight Unit (e.g., kg).

Carton Length / Width / Height

Enter the external dimensions of the carton to calculate volumetric weight and shipping costs.

Carton Dimension Unit

Select the unit used for carton dimensions (cm, mm, inches, etc.).

9. Shipping Details

Available for Sale Now

Select whether the product is currently available for sale on the platform.

Storage Temperature

If the product requires specific storage conditions, enter the appropriate temperature or range (e.g., chilled, frozen, room temperature).

Hazardous Goods

Specify whether the product contains hazardous materials, chemicals, or any items that may pose risk during shipping or storage, and select the appropriate option based on the product’s nature and regulations.

10. Additional Details

Offer Text

Enter any promotional message, marketing text, or extra instructions that you want buyers to see (e.g., limited-time offers, bundle deals).

Additional Field Name

If you need to capture extra technical specifications or special product attributes, define the field name and its value (e.g., “Shelf Life”, “Flavor Profile”, “Certification Type”).

“Made in Saudi Arabia” Eligibility

Determine whether the product meets the criteria to receive the “Made in Saudi Arabia” label, according to the official program requirements. This option can only be activated for factories that hold a valid membership certificate in the “Made in Saudi” program.

Final Step: Review and Submit

After you complete all sections:

Click “Translate” to translate product data into all languages supported by the platform.
Click “Submit for Review” if the product is ready to be checked and published.
Click “Save as Draft” if you want to complete or edit the information later.

Quick Options on “Add New Product” Page

At the top of the “Add New Product” page, you will find two shortcuts designed to speed up the process:

1. Copy an Existing Product by SKU

If you want to clone data from an existing product and make minor edits:

Enter the SKU or product name you wish to copy.
The system will auto-fill the fields, which you can then review and adjust before saving.

2. Products with Attributes (Color / Size)

If you are adding multiple variations of the same product (e.g., same item but different sizes or colors):

Enable the option indicating the product has attributes.
Define the attributes (e.g., size, color, or both).
Add the specific variants under the same main product to keep your catalog organized.
